How Our Leadership Structure Works

Clean Clams Local Union 1 operates as a fully democratic organization. Every two years, the membership gathers for elections where any member in good standing can run for any leadership position. Voting is conducted by secret ballot, and results are certified by an independent elections committee.

Our officers are bound by the union constitution and bylaws, which establish clear guidelines for governance, financial management, and member rights. The membership always has the final say — through regular meetings, referendums, and the power of recall.

Transparency is not negotiable. Quarterly financial reports, meeting minutes, and bargaining updates are made available to all members. Our leadership answers to the brotherhood — always.
