Our Community Programs
Clean Clam Education Initiative
Our flagship education program brings clean clam awareness to Chicago Public Schools. Interactive workshops, guest speakers from the union, and hands-on learning experiences teach the next generation about the importance of clean clams. Now reaching 20+ schools across the city.
Neighborhood Clean-Up Program
Every quarter, union members volunteer for neighborhood clean-up events across Chicago. We focus on communities that need it most, demonstrating our commitment to a clean environment that goes beyond clams.
Community Garden Partnership
In partnership with Chicago Parks, we maintain community gardens in three neighborhoods. These spaces bring people together and serve as gathering spots for community education about clean practices.
Youth Mentorship Program
Veteran union members mentor young Chicagoans interested in advocacy, organizing, and community leadership. The program pairs each mentee with a dedicated mentor for a full year of guidance and support.
Brotherhood Mutual Aid Network
Our mutual aid network extends beyond union membership to help neighbors in need. From food drives to emergency assistance, we demonstrate that solidarity isn't just a union principle — it's a way of life.
Small Business Partnership Program
We work with local Chicago small businesses to promote clean clam practices and support local economies. Participating businesses receive the Clean Clam Approved seal and union-sponsored promotion.
